Some fake ads offer extreme discounts, like 90% off on high-priced items like a smartphone or appliance. But instead of delivering products, they steal card details, login credentials, and payment details.

Some fake websites might also request you to pay via a UPI QR code, personal UPI ID or personal bank account rather than a proper payment gateway. Always look at the URL before entering any information. Check for minor domain variations, missing letters, additional words or other odd alterations.
