Be better, every day: In work and life, Amit Kumar is all in
A hard-worker, a supportive husband, a reliable store-owner — these are just a few of the many hats Flipkart Kirana partner Amit Kumar wears. His wish to support his wife’s dreams, and the life lessons passed on from his beloved mother drive him to be better, every day. For him, there’s no room for compromises — at work or at home.
Fulfilling wishes in the city of dreams
For Sajid Usmani, the festivities and the celebrations during The Big Billion Days remind him of Eid. Years ago, like many across India, he moved from his hometown in UP to experience the city of dreams, and a brighter future. Armed with his infectious enthusiasm and big plans for the future, Sajid takes us through his journey — from his village, to becoming a favorite with Flipkart customers on Mira Road, Mumbai.
On a road less traveled, Tahaseen proves her doubters wrong
Working in the supply chain was not Tahaseen R’s first option. But, as a person who thrives on action, the thrill of a dynamic work environment and breaking through into a traditionally male-dominated field, drew her to the industry. “There’s a stereotypical belief that ‘girls or women don’t belong to the supply chain industry,’ even though women are extremely capable of doing this job,” she says. A first in her family to take up a warehouse job, she’s determined to prove the doubters wrong.
Single mom. Biker girl. Fearless woman.
Fall down seven times, stand up eight. That’s what Wishmaster Manisha Roy from Siliguri, West Bengal does each time life throws her curveballs. When her marriage to a man she loved deeply turned abusive, she fell into depression. But love for her son and determination to give him a better life moved her to seek help and get better. With a job as a Flipkart Wishmaster, she says she’s gradually getting back on track (and on her bike) towards happier days.
‘I live life on my own terms’
In Ernakulam, Kerala, Akhila Kunjumon has fought hard to live life on her own terms. When her husband abandoned her and their daughter, leaving them in debt, the only thing on her mind was survival. In her most challenging days, she found hope in her new job as a Flipkart Wishmaster. “Today, I am brave, independent and confident. I owe this to my dear daughter and my work,” she says.
Of chance encounters and better prospects

On her way to the top
When an extended maternity leave and the search for a better work-life balance hampered growth at her previous workplace, Priyadarsini G began to look for opportunities that would align with her needs. In 2021, she joined as Team Lead at a Flipkart hub in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, just ahead of The Big Billion Days sale. “With this job, I am able to balance work and life because I have really supportive managers and colleagues,” she says. From gaining confidence to thriving in a supportive work culture, she’s certain that this is work that works for her.
Wishmaster by day, student by night
Vivek Kumar wakes up every day raring to go. Having moved from his small village to Patna, Bihar, in search of better opportunities, he doesn’t take his goals lightly — he works, studies, and takes care of his family of four. After signing up as a Flipkart Wishmaster, he says he’s already achieved one of his goals — to upgrade from a borrowed bicycle to a motorcycle of his own. “Work is going well right now. Aage bhi sahi tareeke se chalta raha, toh poori life hum Flipkart mein hi bita denge. (If things go well in future, I will spend my whole life at Flipkart),” he says.
With Flipkart, Ranjan Kumar is reviving long-lost dreams
When he lost his father, Ranjan Kumar abandoned his studies and his dream of joining the Army to take care of his family. Despite the struggles, Ranjan persevered. Today, with his savings from the Flipkart Kirana partner program, he’s able to resume his studies, and is daring to dream once again.
